Island Hopping Tour
This tour lets you hop by boat between a few of the smaller islands surrounding Langkawi — a great mix of scenic beaches, jungle-fringed coastlines, freshwater lakes and wildlife.
It’s among the most popular activities for visitors. Many tours depart daily (weather permitting), often in the morning around 9:00 AM.
Itinerary & Island-Stops
Pulau Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden)
- Famous for its freshwater lake — you can swim or paddle-boat there. It’s a calm, scenic lake surrounded by forested hills.
- Legend says the lake has mystical properties. For some visitors, it’s one of the most memorable stops.
Pulau Beras Basah
- A classic “postcard” island with white sandy beaches and clear, shallow water — great for swimming, snorkelling (often rental gear available), sunbathing or relaxing.
- Expect a relaxed beach-time vibe; many tours allow ~1–1.5 hours here.
Pulau Singa Besar (Eagle-Watching & Wildlife Spotting)
- One of the most distinctive experiences: eagle-feeding. Boats slow down and “bait” fish (or chicken) in the water to attract eagles, offering a chance to see majestic birds swoop low for their prey.
- Besides eagles, you may glimpse other wildlife — monkeys, monitor lizards, and coastal birds inhabit the mangroves and coastline.
What Carry On / What to Expect
- Tours could be shared-boat (budget / group style) or private-boat (for couples, families or small groups) — many departure options daily.
- Duration: ~3 to 4 hours is typical. Some operators offer hotel pickup/drop-off (especially if you are staying around Pantai Cenang or Pantai Tengah).
- What’s included: boat ride, life jackets, visits to 2–3 islands. Some extra activities (like snorkelling gear, paddle boat in the lake, water sports) may be optional/paid separately.
- What to bring: swimwear, sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, towel. Some tours recommend bringing your own snacks/water since island refreshment places (if any) can be limited and pricier.

Tips & Things to Know

- If you’re prone to seasickness — choose calmer weather/sea days; tours depend heavily on sea conditions.
- Some popular islands (like Beras Basah) can get busy — going early in the day may give you a more peaceful experience.
